Happy Eid-ul-azha
Eid ul azha celebrated in memory of Prophet Abraham’s willingness to offer his only son Ishmael to Allah as qurbani. It is one the most important festival of Muslim. It comes after 2 months and 10 days after Eid-ul-fitar. The meat is divided into three equal parts to be distributed to others. The family retains one third of the share, another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbors, and the other third is given to the poor & needy. its celebrated In the 10th day of 12 month of Muslim. The meaning of Eid in quran’s sura-al-maida is solemn festival. its celebrations start after haji descent from the mount Arafat. According to Muslim four thousands years ago the Mecca valley was rocky and dry but we can see most famous water aab-e-zamzam means water from heaven in the river which never drain. If someone drunk few amount of water he’ll go to heaven. This water is same adorable like ganga river’s water in India. Before sacrificed an animal here is some rule for sacrifice. animal should be one of the cattle approved by the sharia(law of Muslim ) i.e. cow, camel, goat, sheep etc. the animal is free from an obvious defect like one eyes or deaf or sick animal whose sickness is oblivious a lame animal who’s lime is obvious The animal has reached the required age. The adult age is: (a) One year for a goat, sheep, lamb (b) Two years for a cow (c) Five years for a camel. The animal is in full possession of the one who is offering the sacrifice; i.e. it is not stolen or taken by force, not of joint possession or held in pledge 5. The animal can not be sold or given away once selected or bought for sacrifice, unless exchanging for something better. These are some important steps for qurbani for Muslims. Person who offering sacrifice should be a Muslim. The person shouldn’t cut his hair or nail from the sunset of zhul-Qa’dah until the sacrifice is done on the eid-ul-azha. t is a necessary condition of the sacrifice that the animal be slaughtered with the intention of offering a sacrifice (udhiyah). The intention must be in the heart, and should not be spoken out loud. Doing the slaughter with one’s own hands. If one is not able to do so then he can appoint some one else to do the slaughter on his behalf. In such case one should witness his slaughter if at all possible. Taking the Name of Allah at the time of slaughter. but the fact is Muslim calendar always short 10 days from the world calendar means a normal year has 365 days in a year but Muslim calendar has 355 days in a year that is the main reason why eid-ul-fitar and eid-ul-azha falls 10 days short every year. Some the people surprise why it’s happen but Muslim followed moon for one month completion that’s why their months have only 29 and 30 days. Don’t forget the proper way of sacrifice that is the animal for slaughter should be laid on its left side facing Kaabah and its throat cut open with a sharp knife, and its blood allowed draining. In the case of a camel, it should be allowed to remain standing after its left fore leg has been stringed. A sharp spear should then be thrust in its breast and on both sides of its neck, and the blood allowed draining. Happy Eid-ul-azha to my friends and reader of this blog.
